This is a Moodle site.  It has been designed and created by Albany Analytical; it is hosted by ClassroomRevolution.com, a certified Moodle Partner.

Moodle is a full-featured Learning Management System (LMS), also known as a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE).  In other words, it's a complex bunch of software, all bundled together, to create an application (or "app" if you prefer) that works on most web browsers.

BeeLearn.com takes full advantage of the many features of Moodle.  At Albany Analytical, we take great pains to ensure that we provide a learning experience that is based on sound principles of designing with the student and objectives in mind.  We do not use flashy technology because it's cool.  We use whatever technology we can get our hands on that we believe will make it easier for you - the learner - to remember what you read, saw, and heard.

We subscribe strongly to the premise that people learn best by sharing the experience, which is why we use Moodle.  Moodle is based on a "social constructivist pedagogy", which is to say "we design our teaching around the idea that people should interact with one another". 

We also insist on acknowledging the variations in the way people learn - across individuals and through an individual's life - by adhering to a blended learning instructional design model.  Some people learn better by hearing, some by seeing, some by doing.  Our favored methods can evolve as our environments and experiences change.  We get older, we become more distracted by other things in life, some of us experience declines in hearing or eyesight, or even the ability to sit in a chair for a long time.  At Albany Analytical, we do not think that anyone should be denied learning for any of these things that are just part of life.  We try very hard to build our training for everyone.
